First edition

A comprehensive catalogue of Israeli artist Adi Nes' work published in conjunction of his exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in 2007, covering the photographer's four most notable series: Soldiers, Young Boys, Prisoners (a project for Vogue Hommes International) and Biblical Stories.
Heavily inspired by master painters such as Caravaggio, Rubens and Rembrandt, Adi Nes creates cinematic images that reference war, masculinity and sexuality, relating to canonical stories from Greek Mythology and Christianity. His partially autobiographical work is deliberate and staged in an attempt to raise questions about male identity in Israeli culture.
