In 1978 Joseph Szabo, then a high school photography teacher, was invited by two senior students to drive them to a Rolling Stones concert in Philadelphia in exchange for a free ticket. Sensing a promising photo opportunity, he agreed, packing three 35mm cameras and plenty of black-and-white film. Szabo's Rolling Stones Fans photographs show unguarded moments of absorption and abandonment in the sublimity of music, drugs and community.
