For a special edition of Japanese Playboy, Kishin Shinoyama travelled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil during its famous Carnival. Olele Olala, a celebration of hedonistic pleasures, remains an important and influential book predating Shinoyama's better-known later works (Hareta Hi, 1975; The Meaning of the House, 1975 and Paris, 1977).
