Artists featured in the exhibition are Tina Barney, Richard Billingham, Bruce Gilden, Jim Goldberg, Susan Lipper, Sally Mann, Martin Parr, Thomas Ruff, Joachim Schmid, Thomas Struth, Larry Sultan, Nick Waplington and Carrie Mae Weems.

“Photography is a responsive medium and photographers, reflecting the confusions of our times, began to portray the family in a multitude of ways. For some, interest lay in their own families, and in the complex social engineering which determines their structure. Some employed the medium as an act of homage, as a comic device, or even as a tool for revenge.” - Val Williams.
